WHAT WE DO

With over 30 years seamstress and pattern-maker experience there isn't much I can't do with a needle and thread. Whether you need it altered, resized or repaired I can work with almost any material. From clothing to drapes if it needs to be sewed Maria's Professional Alterations is the place to go. You can be assured to leave with a smile and fitted clothes.

TAILORING

I have a broad experience in pattern-making, so I understand men and women's body-fit and

I am able to fit your clothes into your body-shape. ​

Tips

• Clothing alterations can only be as good as the fitting, so please arrange time for 

  the fitting.

​

• Pant hems - please bring the shoes you will wear most often—so the pants will be
  fitted correctly.

 

• It is best to wash clothes before the alteration so the risk of shrinkage is reduced.

​

• Bridal/formal gowns - please bring with you all of the items worn with the

  garment (shoes, undergarments) or we cannot promise the gown will fit the way

  you would like when it is worn for the event.

 

• If you have an emergency - please call and we will do our best to fit you in.

 

• Military Alterations - please bring regulations for correct patch placement.
